Dae Planner Design Co is a boutique design firm founded by Cassie Hanson. Based in the Pacific Northwest, we offer clients all over the country a range of services from full-service design, renovations and new construction projects, as well as furnishing selection and styling.
Our approach to design is to create intentional, livable spaces that have their own style and defining personality. The foundation of our work ensures every detail of your project is cohesive, thoughtfully-curated + tailored to your lifestyle.
A creative at heart, Cassie began her design career studying at Sonoma State where she received her degree in Merchandising + Interior Design.
Cassie has been honing her talents + developing her skills since '10. Working as a buyer/designer for many years in Texas, she gained the experience needed to create her own company when her family moved back home, to the Pacific Northwest. As an ode to the special meaning behind her middle name, Dae - Dae Planner Design Co was created.
Cassie’s work is ultimately inspired by her own life. As a mother, she deeply understands the impact that a well-designed home can have on your family. She is perpetually inspired by coastal landscapes and her work carries that same organic, natural beauty and relaxed feel.
Cassie lives in the Puget Sound with her husband, two lively boys, and their golden retriever - Tom Hanks.
Brenda Harwood has been actively working on residential renovation projects and designing interiors in her spare time for over 20 years with particular interest in designing for luxury vacation homes.
After years of focusing on a career in traditional corporate finance and operations at several well-known organizations in the Pacific Northwest, Brenda decided to pursue her creative passion and received her master certification in residential and commercial design from Heritage School of Interior Design in 2021. Not only does Brenda bring creativity to all our projects, but her robust background contributes to Dae Planner’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence during the design process.
In addition to being a key member of the Dae Planner design team, Brenda owns a successful vintage pop-up floral design business, Valley & Rose Flower Truck, based in Seattle, Washington. If you see an iconic jade color 1959 Volkswagen Transporter truck driving around town, that is where you will find Brenda and her fresh blooms.
After spending years as a Preschool teacher/Nanny Emily, a Seattle native, went back to earn an Interior Architecture degree from the Art Institute of Seattle. Space planning and digital drawing was what drew her most to Interior Design, but design school also garnered her love for the now less used hand drafting. A love for reading and cooking inspires her to create spaces in the homes of clients that make sense and to fall in love with a space to help fit their needs.
